Network Marketing Tools: Do You Have These Essential Network Marketing Tools?

Gone are the days when the required network marketing tools were 3-way calling, voice mail, and fax-on-demand. Today's savvy network marketer needs the tools required to take full advantage of the power of the internet. If you don't have all of these, you are seriously handicapping your business, giving a huge advantage to your competitors, and leaving tons of money on the table.

The network marketing tools essential to the successful internet network marketer are:


An autoresponder is simply a fancy email system that will let you develop and maintain a list of prospects to whom you can send email messages. The messages can be part of a predetermined series of messages sent at preset intervals (called “campaigns”) or an individually written message sent either in real time or at a specified future date and time (called “broadcasts”). Autoresponders can be had for around $20 a month (expect to pay more as your list grows) and there are a number of reputable firms that provide this service. The key here is to select one that has a high delivery rate and that understand that bulk emailing is not the same as spam.

If you're strapped for time or cash and can't assemble all of the tools you'll need all at once, you can build your business using just an autoresponder. So this is the place to start.

Lead Capture Page

The next tool you should consider is a lead capture page (also called a landing page or a squeeze page). This can be a simple one page website that contains your offer and a simple form to collect the prospect's contact information. A useful rule of thumb is that the more information you request, the fewer responses you'll get and the more you have to offer in return. Some successful landing pages ask for only the prospect's email address.

When the prospect fills out the form and clicks on the submit button, special code on the page sends the information to your autoresponder and, presto!, you have a new lead.

You can create your own landing page using free software. You'll also need a domain name (less than $10 per year) and a hosting account (less than $10 per month).


Blogs are an excellent way to start branding yourself and to build rapport with your prospects. Plus, the search engines love blogs because they are a source of continual new content. You can start for free on sites such as blogger.com or wordpress.com. However, eventually you'll want a self-hosted blog with your own domain name and hosting account.

There are many other network marketing tools that you can add to your arsenal over time. However, the short list here is more than enough to get you started and to allow you to build a large list and a lucrative business.
