MLM Recruiting Tips, Tricks and Strategies

Ask anyone that is successful in the MLM industry and they'll tell you that they focus between eighty and ninety percent of their time on recruiting. You need to do the same if you wish to get financial freedom. Recruiting and sponsoring is where all heavy hitters make their money. And that's not just a coincidence.

Consider this: You might represent the best health and wellness products, vacation program, or technical advancement in the history of mankind – but if you spend all of your time promoting the product solely to get new purchasers, don't you actually just have a glorified commission-only sales job? Yet, if you focus on effective MLM recruiting strategies and train your new team to do the same thing, you'll find yourself in a situation where you earn a profit from the leverage created by lots of people each doing a little bit.

You could be able to sell a 6 product units a month. But your team might be well placed to sell a 100,000 product units per month.

MLM Recruiting — It's a Numbers Game

If you get to talk to any major network marketing producer who is making six or seven figures, he will likely tell you that the great MLM Recruitingmajority of their income is produced by only a few members of their team. A small percentage; not the majority. And the funny thing is, they may not even have sponsored those folks themselves, another of their team likely sponsored them.

As with any job or career, lots of network marketers will never rise higher than a few rungs on the ladder. At least seventy percent of new recruits who sign up will be gone within ninety days. Why? There are a number of reasons.

Of the remaining 30 percent, 27% will probably make enoough each month that they'll want to sick around, and only 3% will go on to be top producers. That's it. Only those 3% will become MLM recruiting superstars. How can you join them? Find a way to personally sponsor 50 to 100 new team members to join your business as quickly and as cost-effectively as possible .

Sponsor a hundred folks and, statistically, 3% of them will become superstars, and you'll become rich. Remember, most of the top earners only have a handful of team members that generate the majority of the top earner's income. It's the way in which the game is played.

How to Increase your MLM Recruiting Success

First, know your numbers. How many people do you have to approach to get one person to look at your business? How many presentations do you have to do to get one person to enroll? If you're new to MLM recruiting, your numbers will probably be lower than average. Don't sweat it, they'll approve over time. Part of that is because you'll get better — both at recruiting and at attracting the right kind of prospect. The other part is that, if you stay in touch and follow up, people that said “No” the first time around will say “Yes” after they get to know, like, and trust you.

Whatever your numbers, you'll have to reach out to a much larger number of people than you hope to enroll. How many more depends on a number of factors including you, your skills, your business model, your product or service, and how you qualify the people you prospect.

Clearly, then, one of your first priorities is to create a good flow of qualified prospects and an effective recruiting funnel to lead them through on the way to becoming a team member. It isn't about spamming or a high-pressure selling process.

You want to find the best way to meet with people every day. Surprisingly, the daily number doesn't have to be all that high, you just need consistency. Next, you'll want to have a good set of presentations, either live, recorded or a combination. Remember, it takes multiple exposures to your business before most people will be ready to join. And, of course, you need an effective follow-up system to keep the communication flowing.

You could try to develop all of this yourself, but there are a lot of moving parts and you would need to be at least moderately skilled at each of them.  So, what's the alternative?
